german PHP mailinglists moved / new community-website

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, Today, the german PHP mailinglists moved to a new website. As this is of great interest for the german PHP community, I ask you to kindly announce this news at your website. It has already been announced on the mailing list and will also been announced on german PHP-related websites. As far as you have linked php-center.de (former homesite of the german PHP mailinglist) as homesite of the list, please change those links to http://www.phpbar.de Thank You, Andreas Demmer php::bar Core-Team -- German PHP Mailinglists Moved / New Community-Website The german PHP mailinglist, which is becoming 5 years old today, can from now on be reached at phpbar.de. This is announced by the listowner Ralf Geschke, who brought the mailinglist into life in 1998 and cared for it since that day. Also concerned are the PHP-GTK and the PEAR lists. For the in whole about 2.000 subscribed members nothing changes - except for the adress of the list. The new adresses for sub- and unsubscription can be found at [1]. With the moving also the long-lasting partnership between Ralf Geschke an Björn Schotte, who founded the PHP-Center - the past homesite of the lists - has also come to an end. "Because of diffrent views about the further development of the PHP-Center, I saw myself forced to this breaking step", Ralf Geschke explains his retreat from this project. Together with other active members of the PHP list he brought the project php::bar [2] into life in the last couple of month. This meeting place for beginners and advanced offers right from the start extensive information and services related to PHP. Besides features like news, bulletin board, manuals, tutorals, (up-to-date) FAQ and a job exchange, php::bar finally offers the the long-missed fulltext search for the list-archive and a freelancer-database explicitly designed for php developers. Quite a couple of plans are at hand for future features and will be realized time after time. Additional Offerings will hopefully be purposed by the many members. As additional appetizer to take part, php::bar draws a license of the well-known Zend Studio and 10 T-Shirts by lots. php::bar is jointly oerated by Andreas Demmer, Ralf Geschke, Arne Klempert and Johannes Schlueter.
