A lot of people that do not like spam have placed swear words in their email addresses, as a result, you get things like: avrosmalenNOFUCKING at SPAMhotmail dot com Is there anyway to filter this out? It would increase the friendliness of the php site. Also, it should be possible to create a javascript mailto link that builds a link on the fly from various "pieces" of the email address.
People put these in, because *they wanted* to have those in their email address. First of all, many who care not to receive spam do have such email addresses, and they filter them out when any incoming message arrives. Second, they have put these pieces into the email for better security. We do encourage people to put these into their email addresses, in case they are not satisfied with our "obfuscation". Maybe NOFUCKING is not the best word to see on a documentation page, but that is what the user submitted. If the contents of the note is not right, it will be deleted with the email address. If the contents of the note is useful, then who cares about the email address? Goba
