two things:
- I've just setup stats: http://php.tecnoera.com/stats/
Great.
- I've realized the error log file has some errors, although the mirror
is perfectly rsynced. look:
[root@gacela www.php.net]# tail -10
/usr/local/apache/logs/www.php.net.error_log
[Mon Sep 1 14:02:34 2003] [error] [client 146.83.123.1] File does not
exist: /home/.dsk2/www.php.net/get/php-4.3.3.tar.gz/from/this/mirror
[Mon Sep 1 14:03:39 2003] [error] [client 200.104.146.17] File does not

These two are normal. We have many shortcuts which work though 404 pages, these two are of those....

These are not normal, I don't know how can someone come to such a page... Maybe it was a bugos crawler...
Is it ok not to include the error log in the stats?
Absolutely. We have no rules on the stats support.
in apache, i have set HostnameLookups Off. Is that ok for you? (the
stats won't show from which country are the visitors).
We have our own country detection, it is not dependant on hostnamelookups. So as far as I can see, there will be no problem with you disabling it...
