If I put a link to what you just gave, people will download directly from that server, instead of from the local mirror... p.s.s. i was silly suggesting the symlinks. the sites are php powered, and that can *of course* be done with php itself ;) On Fri, 12 Sep 2003, Dave wrote: > On Friday, September 12, 2003 at 6:10:32 PM, shimi wrote: > > > During my guides that I write from time to time to people, I tell them to > > download PHP, and link them to the download binary/source/depends on the > > OS and Webserver. > > > I think it'll be nice if people could put a link that will always be > > "current", like you can, for instance, download the latest mozilla > > firebird build for linux, in the following URL which is always updated: > > > > > ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firebird/nightly/latest-trunk/MozillaFirebird-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz > > > comments? > > > p.s. all the servers are unix based, so, we all have symlinks, so it > > shouldn't be to hard, assuming rsync supports symlinks... > > PHP has this.
