You should be more consistent in how you apply your restrictions, as I was simply continuing an
existing discussion. There were a number of related posts which had not been "rejected and
deleted". You may be assured that I will not make the same mistake again. I may even think
twice before recommending PHP to my employer or clients again.
You clearly have the right to maintain your product and your web site any way you want. But this
action by Vincent, and the snippy tone of his note, left a very bad taste in my mouth.
I do not appreciate being singled out as an idiot.

You are receiving this email because your note posted
to the on-line PHP manual has been removed by one of the editors.
Read the following paragraphs carefully, because they contain
pointers to resources better suited for requesting support or
reporting bugs, none of which are to be included in manual notes
because there are mechanisms and groups in place to deal with
those issues.
The user contributed notes are not an appropriate place to
ask questions, report bugs or suggest new features; please
use the resources listed in <http://www.php.net/support.php>
for those purposes. This was clearly stated in the page
you used to submit your note, please carefully re-read
those instructions before submitting future contributions.
Bug Submissions and Feature Requests should be entered at
<http://bugs.php.net/>. For documentation errors use the
bug system, and classify the bug as "Documentation problem".
Support and ways to find answers to your guestions can be found
at <http://www.php.net/support.php>.
Your note has been removed from the on-line manual.

vikashrk noted an error:
"Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mssql_connect()"
I am getting the same error using php 4 and freetds 0.61.
Anyone know why this error is cropping up?
Thanks in advance,
