Hi Jon
Hmmmm...
I didn't ask a question. No you didn't
I didn't request support or a new feature. You didn't
I wasn't reporting a bug or an error in the documentation. Are you sure ?
The previous comment regarding this item read: "as far as I can judge from my expirience the manual should be updated: object DomNode->replace_child ( object oldnode, object newnode) - will not work, but object DomNode->replace_child (object newnode, object oldnode) will! So this point in docs should be fixed!"This one was just rejected.
To which I added the comment that this poster was correct, and in line with the DOM 2 spec, and I included a link to the relevant portion thereof. So tell me again how I violated the guidelines, please?1 - I wasn't aware of the first note on this page, but you note sounded to me like a bug report and I've wanted you to submit a bug report so that the DOM XML maintainer can take care of this. That's why this note was rejected, it's nothing personal. 2 - I'm now aware of the first one, it has been rejected, so you're adding a note to an inexistant one :) both notes can make a sweet bug report.. It will help us having better extensions, better manual, etc.. Thank you for your time, Mehdi (didou) - Note editor.
Thanks webmaster@php.net wrote:You are receiving this email because your note posted to the on-line PHP manual has been removed by one of the editors. Read the following paragraphs carefully, because they contain pointers to resources better suited for requesting support or reporting bugs, none of which are to be included in manual notes because there are mechanisms and groups in place to deal with those issues. The user contributed notes are not an appropriate place to ask questions, report bugs or suggest new features; please use the resources listed in <http://www.php.net/support.php> for those purposes. This was clearly stated in the page you used to submit your note, please carefully re-read those instructions before submitting future contributions. Bug Submissions and Feature Requests should be entered at <http://bugs.php.net/>. For documentation errors use the bug system, and classify the bug as "Documentation problem". Support and ways to find answers to your guestions can be found at <http://www.php.net/support.php>. Your note has been removed from the on-line manual. ----- Copy of your note below ----- newchild should be the first parameter -- this is in line with the DOM 2 spec.
