Hi!
OK, now I found it. I use IE 6.0 -- one of the problems is that the NATIVE dropdown list that IE provides lays over the top of the JS dropdown layer. (By the way the function is very cool and is somewhat of the holy grail of what I've been wanting to do). One workaround would be to make the form field be named its name plus a random number string (example <input name="pattern9048294" type="input" ..>). That way IE won't recognize it, and your list won't be covered over. Have the server side script strip the numerics away.
We do try to disable autocomplete for that form element in JS, which should work :) It would be better to make that work instead of doing these nasty form elemnt naming tricks IMHO... BTW this code turns of autocomplete if you focus the search field: function FFe(){if(FE.value=="quickref"){Fa.autocomplete="off";FJ();}}
Also, may I use this in my programming? I would be very appreciative.
You can reuse code form the PHP site under the PHP license :) The site design should not be copied. See /copyright.php
I take it you are from Hungary? A friend of mine's father was a missionary with 7 sons, one he named Gabor, another Huba, after I think seven princes of Hungary if I remember right. I am in Los Angeles, USA.
Yes I am :) Goba
