Hi David! I would suggest you rsnyc phpweb/distributions instead. It should work, as all the official mirror sites use that. Goba
I'm trying to mirror the distribution section of php for my university's intranet. I have a crontab entry that runs once a night just after 2 a.m. EST. For some reason I'm getting a strange error on just the distribution module: [root@linuxmirror root]# rsync rsync.php.net::
phpweb PHP Web Site (Approximately 700M)
php3            PHP3 Source Tree (Approximately 8M)
php4            PHP4+Zend Source Tree (Approximately 24M)
php5            PHP 5 + Zend Engine 2 Source Tree
... [root@linuxmirror root]# rsync rsync.php.net::php4/

... [root@linuxmirror root]# rsync rsync.php.net::distributions/ @ERROR: chroot failed rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (34 bytes read so far) rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(150) Am I trying to pull from the wrong place? Thanks for your help.
