On certain pages on the php.net site -- such as
http://us3.php.net/FAQ.html -- the content-tables exceed the width of
the screen, so that I need to use the horizontal scrollbar to read each
line of text. This is occurring on Mozilla 1.5a. I am running at
1024x768 resolution.
I have noticed this exact same issue on more than one site running PHP.
This is not to imply that it has anything to do with the PHP language
per se -- it does not -- but perhaps some layout tools in common use
among PHP users exhibit this display issue.
I tried to send an image of the problem, but my email exceeded the size
limit.
I can see that the page is too wide, and the reason is that some PHP code is not properly highlighted. Actually the user note from jasonpb at bellsouth dot net includes a too wide PHP code line. I'll see what I can do to make this fixed in the website code.
It needs to be pointed out however, that this is not a general problem with PHP :)
Thanks for the report,
Goba
