Per your request, please allow me to explain my earlier message.
My partner, Gary Varnell, and I have been working for over a year to develop
an Open Source tool (called Thout(tm) Reader) that would establish a
standardized training platform through which Open Source referenceware,
training content and code can be delivered. We wanted to let you know that
we have nearly completed our project and let you know how it might impact
PHP developers.
The Thout(tm) Solution:
There are no standardized tools for Open Source training and reference
content retrieval. PDF, CHM, POD, and HTML formats are all common formats.
Working in independent, multiple formats is frustrating to developers who
are faced with different ways to find and retrieve information. We figured,
what if there were one standard format for Perl, Linux, MySQL, Php, etc.
that would allow you to search, bookmark, and append content across
programs, all in one format? We took all of the free referenceware for these
great OS programs and converted it into the Thout Reader format.
Our program will be available absolutely free and will be widely distributed
over the Internet. We would like to get listed on your PHP website (reason
for the initial inquiry) and discuss with you other possible implementation
and uses for the Reader. For example, we also created some powerful Creator
tools that would allow a developer or author to create NEW content in the
Thout Reader format. There are many excellent books about PHP on the market.
We have the ability to convert existing or new materials into our extensible
format and distribute them for about the cost one would expect to pay for a
book. We are currently using an early beta release of our product for PHP
referenceware. Looking up and book marking key expressions is a snap!
Understandably, the PHP website does not provide contact information to
establish direct dialogue. I would appreciate hearing back from you so
discuss how we can work together in early 2004 when our product is ready for
launch.
Thank you for you time,
Mark Carey
P.S. - We are also making similar inquiries with Perl, Apache, Linux, and
MySQL.

Please provide us more information about the software. I must admit I
cannot image what you are talking about.
