I want to start a PHP mirror in Yugoslavia. The download page claims that a mirror in Yugoslavia already exists but that's not the case. The server for the yu.php.net mirror actually resides in the US. This makes no sense since the users in Yugoslavia cannot in any way benefit from such a mirror. I seem to recall that there was some discussion about this issue in the past, was there a decision made? For the record, the server for the mirror I intend to setup will be located in Yugoslavia :)
Yu.php.net used to be in the US, but then we agreed with the provider that it will be relocated to Yugoslavia, and *it was* relocated to Yugoslavia. It seems it is in the US again, which we have not recognized, since we have no recurring check on the countries of the mirrors. Since the Astrahosting team does not seem to be honest with us, I am willing to remove the mirror and add a real Yugoslavian mirror in place. Feel free to set up a mirror for yu.php.net, so we can add it in place of the current one...
Hi, thanks for your prompt response! I'll probably do it first thing in the new year (I only have a couple of working days left in this year). I'll talk to you again then.
