Hi!
I did a lot of contributions to the PHP documentation and I noticed that my comments are deleted and converted to doc: - Before (google cache) : http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:x2oaQQwsmwoJ:php.net.pl/manual/en/function.chroot.php+magicaltux&hl=fr&ie=UTF-8 - After : http://www.php.net/chroot Is it possible to have some credits?
You mean lot by this amount? | Remember that call to chroot() requires root privileges and can't be | reverted (you'll be limited to your new root until the end of the | script) (Look at your shell chroot function, it has the suexec flag) Or are you talking about some more? BTW you have submitted a note on a page, which *explicitly stated* that the note will get integrated if it is worth it and that the text becomes property of the PHP Documentation Group: | Please note that periodically, the developers may go through the | notes and incorporate the information in them into the | documentation. This means that any note submitted here becomes | the property of the PHP Documentation Group. That said we are thankful to everyone who has contibuted to the manual, but the authors list is still frozen since a long time, and even people who contributed a tremendous amount of work into restructuring, fixing, rewriting and adding documentation are not included in the list, so comparing those things to the above snippet I would say that you are far from being entitled to be listed as a manual author. Thanks for you manual notes, and have a happy new year! Goba
