Didou@php.net would probably be able to give you a sufficient answer, since he rejected your note... What note gets rejected always depends on the other notes around, the contents of the manual page, etc. This might be already detailed in the manual source... I cannot answer your question actually... Goba Michael Zedeler wrote:
Hi webmaster, I think this comment does belong where I put it. It is _not_ a bug and yet something that people should definately know. Why was it removed? Michael. webmaster@php.net wrote:
You are receiving this email because your note posted to the on-line PHP manual has been removed by one of the editors. Read the following paragraphs carefully, because they contain pointers to resources better suited for requesting support or reporting bugs, none of which are to be included in manual notes because there are mechanisms and groups in place to deal with those issues. The user contributed notes are not an appropriate place to ask questions, report bugs or suggest new features; please use the resources listed in <http://www.php.net/support.php> for those purposes. This was clearly stated in the page you used to submit your note, please carefully re-read those instructions before submitting future contributions. Bug Submissions and Feature Requests should be entered at <http://bugs.php.net/>. For documentation errors use the bug system, and classify the bug as "Documentation problem". Support and ways to find answers to your questions can be found at <http://www.php.net/support.php>. Your note has been removed from the on-line manual. ----- Copy of your note below ----- Please note that mktime on Red Hat > 7.3 behaves like Windows described above - it doesn't handle dates before 1970. The same goes for the other date conversion routines :-(.
