Thank you.
My question was not a intended as a matter for anyone's annoyance. I am
just in general interested in words and their structure. I thought that
perhaps there is a history to the PHP, but with a newly acquired
knowledge of "backronims", PHP may be clearer now.
But. Wickipedia actually states:
"A number of recursive acronyms are backronyms, which used to expand to a
different string but whose expansion changed once the acronym was
well-known, for one reason or another, to one which included the acronym
itself. This includes at least PHP and RPM." Thus, according to that
site, PHP used to mean something different. And. PHP may have meant
something originally. Like PreHypertext Processor or some other actonym
designating your particular version of hypertext processor.
I don't want to take any more of your time with this question.
Sincerely,
Natalya.
