Learn how to build, operate, and secure web applications using Linux,
Apache, MySQL, and PHP (LAMP). The powerful combination of Linux,
Apache, MySQL, and PHP make LAMP the preferred platform for high
performance web applications. After completing this course, you will
have everything you need to install, secure, and operate a Linux,
Apache, MySQL, and PHP based store or develop your own custom
application.
The SANS LAMP course is an advanced course designed to enable you to
build, configure, and maintain a secure, effective web presence from
the ground up. For each component of LAMP, students will become experts
at installation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, and
security. After covering each of the LAMP sections, we will dive into a
hands-on study of web application security vulnerabilities, including
the OWASP Top Ten list. On the last day of class, we will put our
skills to the test by deploying the SANS PHP-based web storefront on
our own systems.
This track is an advanced course for students that have a solid Linux
system administration background. The entire course is taught hands-on
and students must be comfortable using a Linux/Unix environment.
