Re: Swedish mirror.

Hi Andreas,

My company, Evolve Development AB, is interested in becoming an official php.net mirror. We have used php for years and currently develop all of our webprojects on the LAMP platform, it would be nice to give something back to the community. We are currently building a new datacentre located in Karlstad Sweden, and the site will initially have a 10Mbit fibre connection to Telia's backbone. As traffic increase we will upgrade the connection, and since our datacentre is located approx 10 metres from one of telias sites, we could easily upgrade the connection to several Gbits. I don't think that the php.net mirror itself will consume this amount of bandwith, I just want to assure you that our mirror will be of premium quality. The datacentre will be ready in mid august, and we would really like to be an official php.net mirror by that time.

We already have two mirror sites in Sweden (although one of them is currently not listed for some strange reason). Therefore as our rules say, we are not accepting more mirrors in Sweden right now. Thanks for your offer anyway, Gabor Hojtsy
