Me, erigol and sean had a little discussion on this yesterday. The
manual lookup functions use the metaphone() function to add to a list of
possible matches to the search (sections having a higher priority over
functions then metaphones). Strangely enough, the metaphone for
"security" is very similar to "sqrt" (ess-cue-arr-tee). This issue also
happens on ca.php.net too. We haven't found a solution yet but maybe it
has something to do with the manual-lookup.sqlite database (even though
us4 and ca have completely different {modification date + md5}
databases)... Or maybe not because au has the same database as ca :/

Quiteodd produces a page that says "Sorry, quiteodd is not in the
manual." I hadn't been aware of this 'intelligent' URL function on the
php.net site, but I'm sure you have hit on the root cause of the
problem. Rather than linking to the security chapter of the manual,
http://us2.php.net/manual/en/security.php,
this mechanism decides that I
was looking for the documentation of the square root function. Perhaps
the logic that came to that conclusion would bear reexamination. Thanks
for the clarification!

Well, if you put up a link to http://php.net/quiteodd on a
site, which
is indexed by google, this link could get into the index. We have some
spelling check on the word you use as a quick shortcut [1], so if you
misspell a word, it will still find the resource.
