Dear Sir or Madam: After submitting a note, I ended up at the page "http://us2.php.net/manual/add-note.php". The text on this page stated: "You can go back <http://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.addslashes.php> from whence you came." It should say "where", not "whence". With kind regards, PercyPercy, Thanks our for your suggestion, however, before you go trying to correct others English, perhaps you would like to consult a dictionary? Whence Pronunciation Key (hwns, wns) adv. 1. From where; from what place: Whence came this traveler? 2. From what origin or source: Whence comes this splendid feast? Whence is almost synonymous with Where and the two can be used interchangeably. I would say that the "from" before whence is extraneous but none-the-less (IMO) still valid. - Davey
