Re: amature webdesigner

Hi Matt,

hello, my name is matthew johnson. I am currently building a website for my friends band. I began building site when I was about 12 using angelfire and geocities free hosting programs. I am currently building their site with geocities but i know am looking for more than html can offer. I have been reading on php, and css formats and none of this is making sense to me. I purchased Macromedia Dreamweaver 2004 and have absolutley no idea on how to use it. I have tried reading the tutorials, and im just not getting it. I mean, the whole progam isnt bothering me, its just that i read about servers and all that kind of stuff. I think im missing a couple of thepreperation steps to this like, do i need to purchase a server, how do i purchase one, do i even need one, how do i find my host site, that kind of stuff. if i am wasting your time please just reply and let me know. i dont mean to be a burden im just lost. if youd like to see my site as it is right now feel frfee....www.idecay.net

Since we are dealing with php.net website problems on this email address, and your problems is not about php.net, I would suggest you grab an introductory book and start from well, the begining. Regards, Gabor Hojtsy
