'Quick Ref' query

Dear Webmaster, I am currently trying to streamline the search functions within the admin area on our site, and would like to implement a 'quick ref' search box similar to the one recently implemented on the php.net site for searching the function list. Have you released the code for this in the public domain, in which case could I have a link where I may be able to access the script. Otherwise any information which may point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
