I am writing to report that the us3 mirror is improperly configured and has been for many months.
This page is an example:
http://us3.php.net/manual/en/ref.var.php
I have reported this with the bug tracking system, which, even though it is a good idea, apparently
has no effect because the problem does not get fixed. My original submission (31937) was in
February, and it has just been marked as "Bogus" because it is similar to another
submission (28666) from June of 2004. I know that Linux is hard to configure but I'm sure
there is enough brainpower in the PHP community to figure out an Apache configuration issue in under
a year. Some mirrors (www for instance) work correctly, so it would be great if the different
people running the different servers could go ahead and cooperate to get a working documentation
site. Thank you.
