Hello, my name is Ulrich Eckardt from Speedbone. We are maintaining the largest network in Berlin, Germany and have set up a mirror for the convienience of our customers. The mirror is under php.speedbone.de We are members of RIPE, DENIC, etc. and run a datacenter. Questions from customers about support for mainly php and mysql gave us the need to set up mirrors and have our support taking care of people learning. As a contribution to the community in general, we would like to make this an offical mirror. Since France and the US have more than two mirrors, I think, it might be interesting to have another mirror in germany. Especially since we would be "outside" the central connection part in Frankfurt, but right on a big connection point and in the german capital. This would decentalize the german mirrors and add to stability. The mirror is operationg since mid June and there has been no problem at all with the rsync being overcrowed or slow.
