Hello Jan, We employ the Spamhaus SBL and XBL lists to prevent known spammers (SBL) and zombie/exploited machines (XBL) from sending spam to our mailing lists. We also use them to prevent those people from trawling our mailing lists to determine people's email addresses. I suspect that "you" are on the XBL because you have a dynamic IP address that was previously used by some other customer of your ISP that had a compromized zombie machine sending spam. My suggestion is to try to reconnect (or force a release/renew of your DHCP lease) until you get a "clean" IP address. If you find that this always happens, you might consider changing to an ISP that has better quality of service/customers, as you'll find that you'll have a hard time sending mail to many sites (a lot of people use the XBL). I hope this answers your question. --Wez. Gabor Hojtsy wrote:
Hi Jan, The php.net systems team manages the blocklists, so please contact systems@php.net (also cc-ed). Regards, Gabor Hojtsy Jan Broermann wrote:
Hello, forgive me for addressing this to you, but I can't find anybody else to contact. As there are no moderators for the mailinglists. For a couple of months I've received news/ problems via thunderbird of the php community. For a couple of weeks I haven't sent any messages but followed a couple discussions on the internal/ general/ windows mailinglists, with great interest. Today I tried to get in, but I get the message: ... you are on a blocklist, refusing to serve you content. ?!? How come, I'm on blocklist? What happened? Like I said, I haven't posted any messages for weeks, so I couldn't have offended anyone, could I? Why wasn't I informed I was placed on blacklist?
