Until 11 November, the worldwide public can participate in an Internet
poll
for the EU's premier political awards, the "EV50 Europeans of the Year".
This is a new opportunity to underscore the No Software Patents message
in a
way that politicians, the press and the public would notice.

release</a>, five free and open-source software luminaries have endorsed
a
<a href="http://www.nosoftwarepatents.com/en/m/ev50/vote.html">set

voting
recommendations</a> that rewards the opponents of software patents and
penalizes pro-patent politicians. The FFII and NoSoftwarePatents.com
also
offer <a
href="http://www.nosoftwarepatents.com/en/m/ev50/banners.html">banners</a>
and 14 different language versions of an <a
href="http://www.nosoftwarepatents.com/en/m/ev50/notify.html">email
form</a>
to spread the information.
