Hi,
Finally I have some data about the spammer which is spamming the manual's user notes.
He is mostly using a non-official mirror (http://php.tonnikala.org) and sometimes http://de3.php.net, and he is posting the data from different IPs every time. But those IPs are all blacklisted in SORBS and/or DSBL, and most are marked as exploitable.
Some IPs:
80.58.32.171
219.93.211.74
80.58.32.171
... (they are all listed at http://news.php.net/php.notes)
I have confirmed with the webmaster of the non-oficial mirror that those IPs are correct (he checked the apache logs).
Now, what can we do? Shall we implement a little script to check if the submitter's IP is blacklisted? Add a CAPTCHA (pear's isn't usable because it needs gd)?
I would love to solve this ASAP, because I'm tired of deleting spam notes..
Nuno
