Question

I was wondering if you could help me, i have searched and searched and cannot come up with an answer to a MySQL Query and that is, im creating a search engine for searching suburbs, postcodes and suburb names. My query is though, (Im from Australia so you wont know the suburb name) i type in Hurstville, yet in the database there is no Hurstville but the next suburb Mortdale is in the database. How can a query read the nearest suburb? Hope you can understand my query, hope you can help me.
