Hi,
I am writing a book for on PHP and MySQL by Example ( http://vig.prenhall.com:8081/catalog/academic/product/0,1144,0131875086,00.html )
and I'd like to include the descriptions of some common PHP functions as a reference in the examples. Can I get your permission to use the function description (not the examples). For instance, if I was to describe substr() function, I'd like to use this from the PHP.net website:
string substr ( string string, int start [, int length] )
substr() returns the portion of string specified by the start and length parameters.
If start is non-negative, the returned string will start at the start'th position in string, counting from zero. For instance, in the string 'abcdef', the character at position 0 is 'a', the character at position 2 is 'c', and so forth.
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Marko
