Hi,
Up to now I am not impressed of the installation on a Windows XP Pro.
Thinking to go with another IDE.
Not user friendly at all and not enough information for installation.
Complicated for nothing and, it should be implemented with the executable and, eventually
changed later for personnal requirement.
I have Apache HTTP 2.0.58, MySQL 5.0.21, Zend optimizer 2.6.2 and PHP 5.1.4.
All these works fine.
When installing Zend Platform 2.2.0, it doesn't complete the installation and I have these pop-up windows
- "Can't activate Zend node Collector Service, please try to start manually"
- "installation couldn't register node"
Try to found the information and I could not found nowhere
Too much lack of imformation
It is a nightmare....
**** Please read this below just some concerned ........
I have the feeling that you want a big bite of the marking and eventually PHP would not be a
open source and, we are going to paid for PHP. Eclipse and PHPed from Nusphere is doing a
better job and not controlling as your are. Hope "Eclipse" see that, as you try to control them.
If you keep going this way, then Perl is a better choice.
I think PHP should be on there own with people helping them. Because PHP need help in many ways. Hope they don't fall in the wrong path, it is a good product. Seen in the past, that an IDE tools works fine until the resource of PHP changed and the IDE break down and everything follows.
The IDE should handle the changes.
That is the reason why PHP and Eclipse should not follow that path.
Thanks
Gaetan
