Hello!
First of all - much appreciation for what You're doing as webmasters of the
php.net and mirror sites.
On to my question: I know that there are downloadable versions of the PHP's
documentation. However, all of them are in html format of some sort (or a
..chm file, which tends not to work, but that's a whole another story ;P). I
was wondering if You could provide me with the code You use for Your search
engine, along with the content. Eg. when I'm unable to connect to the
internet (as is now the case, I've lost my broadband and am
sitting on a
phone modem), I'd turn to a local-cache of that manual, in a searchable form
exactly like Your site (an exact copy). I have a web server and a mysql
database, so storing that wouldn't be a problem. It'd be a lot easier for me
to turn to a 'local mirror' (literally) of Your online manual...
I'm kind of tired of searching through a couple-of-MiB-long .html file...
;-)
I know I could write that whole thing myself, why not, but... that'd take
time. That's why I'm asking You first, since You have the most immediate
access to that very code & contents.
Much appreciation & awaiting response
