sorry, but - perhaps you may have forgotten my request? No. But I am ignoring it. I can't find a single reason to justify four mirrors in Germany. We haven't heard any complaints about any of them being slow or down or having any problems at all for that matter. If you are having problems with de3.php.net I'd like to hear about it so we can do something about it. -Hannes
-----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: raven [mailto:raven@hevano.net] Gesendet: Sonntag, 11. März 2007 13:21 An: mirrors@php.net Betreff: new php.net-mirror: request Dear PHP Team, first I would to thank you for your hard work on PHP. I've read the "Mirroring" page completely, so I know that your regular limit is "two mirrors per country" . Anyway I would like to ask you to add my new mirror (which relies in Germany) to the official list. I'm asking because PHP.net isn't as fast as other web pages here in Germany, sometimes it's even lazy. Furthermore de3.php.net (powered by 1&1) results HTTP 500 (Internal Server Error), so it isn't usable for the community and reduces the speed of PHP.net, because there are only two usable mirrors now. Another reason to make a mirror is that I want to say "thank-you" to PHP. I'm working with PHP since 2001, so the PHP team released lots of updates for me. I have very good skills in Linux, so it's no problem for me to hold the server (perfect ping times: 11-12 ms, till 1000 GB traffic / month, so 12 GB/day is no problem, good location in Nürnberg/Germany) online with 99% reliability. The server uptime is currently 180 days, 21:43, so it's very stable. On the server runs Debian Linux Sarge (3.1) and PHP 5.2.1 . It's not a gameserver, only a webserver. So now my request: Mirror-Test-URL: http://php.hevano.net <http://php.hevano.net/> Your country. Germany – Nürnberg (server location) The xx.php.net address you used to set up the mirror site, which you obtained previously in a conversation with the mirror admins. It wasn't obtained, but I set up with "de4.php.net". I can change this, if you would prefer another subdomain. Your name and email address to be registered as the admin of the mirror. Sascha "raven" Holtbruegge <phpmirror@hevano.net> A hostname that we can use as a CNAME for the country-code-based name of the mirror (the.cname.you.set.up.example.com in the above setup example). Using a name means you can move the mirror to another IP address without coordinating with us at all. hevano.net Whether or not you've installed local stats support on your mirror. I've installed the stats. You can find it here: http://php.hevano.net/stats/ The name of the hosting company. 7pics.info The URL of the hosting company. This link is provided with the company's name at the bottom of pages, with the sponsor image on the frontpage and in the mirror listing. http://www.7pics.info <http://www.7pics.info/> I hope, I can contribute to you, and that the mirror will be useful, Sascha Holtbruegge <mailto:raven@hevano.net> raven@hevano.net
