php installation help

i have winXP running iis6 and php 5.2 downloaded files. iis6 is running but does not read php pages. have created c:\PHP and pasted the downloaded files as described. also created a c:\php\ext and pasted unzipped files as described at the binary options. is there a clear cut tutorial which would help me in properly reading a php page. i am a skilled vb programmer but stumped at this configuring juncture. have tried a few websites adivising on this, but there is a php.ini, php-dist etc, which i dont find amongst these files. any help would be highly appreciated. thanks. my email for a reply would be mgravi@aol.in Ravindra M.G.
