Attention all prospective mirror maintainers:
I am presently in the process of updating the waiting list for all
official mirrors of the PHP Project. If you have applied and your
application was denied because there are already >=2 mirrors in your
country, or if you have not even applied for this same reason but are
interested in providing a mirror, please reply to this email. Keep
all replies in this thread.
In your message, please answer the following for our records:
* In what country is the system physically located (for which
you wish to provide a mirror)?
* What version of PHP do you have installed and configured on
your system (Required: PHP >= 5.1.0)?
* Is SQLite installed and available to PHP (Required)?
* Do you have statistics installed and enabled (Recommended)?
* Would you be willing to participate in advanced programs,
such as alpha- and beta-testing new versions on your mirror?
* What type of organization would sponsor your mirror (can
only be ISP, web host, university, or web development firm)?
* Do you already operate an unofficial PHP mirror?
* Do you presently operate an official mirror in any other
countries for the PHP Project?
* Do you presently operate an official mirror for any other
open source projects? (If so, please list them all.)
* What is the network port speed of the prospective mirror
(1Mbps, 10Mbps, 100Mbps, 1Gbps, etc.)?
* Is the email address from which you replied the one we
should use to contact you if/when we need your services?
# NOTE: If not, and if you do not want your address
publicly-archived, you
# may reply directly to me in private with it in a second
email. However,
# please copy the rest of this questionairre to the
mailing list for archival.
That's it. If and when a spot opens up in the country for which
you would like to provide an official mirror, we will get in touch
with you via email and invite you to participate. We will also (try
to) contact everyone on the list periodically to ensure that our
records are kept at least fairly up to date. ;-P
If you add your name to the waiting list and decide at a later
time that you are no longer able and/or interested in donating your
services as an official mirror, all you need to do is send an email to
php-mirrors@lists.php.net requesting that your name be removed from
our waiting list.
Thank you all for your interest and ongoing support of the PHP Project!
