I've mentioned before, this can be easily sorted out if you add a rewrite
rule to your Web Server config. Below is my example for Nginx (should be
easy in Apache too):
if ($host != 'md1.php.net' ) {
rewrite ^/(.*)$ http://md1.php.net/$1 permanent;
}
So, you may adopt this solution and publish it to Mirroring The PHP
Website<http://php.net/mirroring.php>
guide.
By the way, just noticed that md.php.net DNS record is missing, just
md1.php.net has the correct CNAME. Any reasons for this?
