Dear Hannes,
Sorry to bother you again.
As our previous conversation, we would like to use the hostname "php.nethub.com.hk" to replace "mirror.nethub.com.hk" for the DNS pointing.
However, we just found that the "hk1.php.net" is still pointing to "mirror.nethub.com.hk".
Would you please point "hk1.php.net" to "php.nethub.com.hk" ? Thank you.
Below is the info for your reference.
# nslookup hk1.php.net 8.8.8.8
Server: 8.8.8.8 Address: 8.8.8.8#53Non-authoritative answer:
hk1.php.net canonical name = mirror.nethub.com.hk. Name: mirror.nethub.com.hkAddress: 202.67.138.74 Please feel free to contact us if you have further enquiries, thank you. Dear PHP.net mirror admin, According to our problem, we have pointed a new hostname to our mirror server and updated our mirror server's Apache VirtualHost configuration. The new hostname is "*php.nethub.com.hk* ", please kindly update your DNS pointing and point the CNAME record to here. Also, below is our current apache's vhost config for the php mirror site. *ServerName hk1.php.net** **ServerAlias hk.php.net www.hk1.php.net www.hk.php.net www.php.net php.nethub.com.hk* Please kindly check it and test on our mirror site again. If we get something wrong or missing, please kindly inform us and we will keep on following. If our mirror site works fine, please kindly help to enable and resume hk1.php.net , thank you. But do read: http://php.net/mirroring.php it specifically states that you have to answer requests for the hostname you have provided Before adding new official mirrors to our DNS, we require the maintainers to set up the mirrors with an address we can use as a CNAME in the DNS. This subdomain (the.cname.you.set.up.example.com in the above example) will be checked by mirror admins before the mirror is added. Therefore it is important that the mirror is capable of serving requests for this name and the (www.)cc(x).php.net address provided by the mirror administrators. So you need to set up ServerAlias not only ServerName. Also for the new GeoDNS to work you have to setup ServerAlias for www.php.net as well. After checking, we would like to clarify that the hostname - "mirror.nethub.com.hk" is just a server hostname for you to point the mirror site to our server by using a CNAME record in your DNS. And this hostname (mirror.nethub.com.hk) is not an alias website of hk1.php.net , please kindly note it. So, it is normal that you got the 404 error when using your test URL (http://mirror.nethub.com.hk//manual/noalias.txt). If you need to check our mirror server status, please kindly use the http://hk1.php.net for checking and the file '/manual/noalias.txt' can be accessed with the URL (http://hk1.php.net/manual/noalias.txt). In this case, would you please help to resume the mirror? Thank you. If there is anything we have misunderstood or we need to follow, please kindly inform us again, thank you. We are looking forward for your reply.
