I would like to place a User Contributed Note on the
http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.session.php page, but I do not see a way to do so.
I would like to state that when using Netscape 4.7 for PC, and using the following code:
page1
<? session_start();
$count = 1;
session_register("count");
?>
<html>
<body>
This is the first time to the site. <a href="test2.php">test2</a>
</body>
</html>
page2
<? session_start();
$count += 1;
session_register(count);
?>
<html>
<body>
You've been to this site <? print("$count"); ?> times.
</body>
</html>
anytime you select any other minimized application, (ie calculator) and then return to the browser window, the value of
the $count variable has incremented by an additonal count in the source code but not on the screen. However, when you reload
the screen/page, you will see the value 'jump' several values to 'catch-up'. (This is most noticable when incremented by several
values).
