This is what mirrors are for :))) Now only a note
on the download page directs the user to change the
mirror. An automatic chooser syetem would be much
better.
We don't need to reinvent the whell, there was such
system in downloads-php3.php (this file is now gone,
but all the history is in CVS :)).
Anyway people tend to use the main site, because the
annotations, and bug system is here. At least we can
mirror the annotations, there were several notes
about how we can do it. You can find them in the
archives. Nothing working turned out.
