Here's a version that'll work on both IE and NS. The current one causes an error in IE due to the different methods between IE and NS of reading selected text.
javascript:u='http://php.net/manual-lookup.php?lang=en&function=';d=document;p=d.all?d.selection.createRange().text:d.getSelection();if(p){location.href=u+escape(p)}else{p=prompt("PHP Reference:","");if(p){window.location.href=u+escape(p);}else{void(0)}}
