How to install PHP on a server that is hosting your clients websites (not my server)

I'm a webmaster myself but have never used PHP. I don't have my own
server but have many clients in many different hosting areas (servers).
I know for a fact that those servers do not have PHP installed. How can
I install PHP on those domains? Or, do I have to call them up and have
them do it for me?
