My apologies. I did not mean to imply that you did not know what you are doing. Adobe's marketing implies that they have the best compression available. I stand corrected.

Besides, for almost all operating systems, the acrobat reader plugin works directly with the browser. If you have a good reason to keep the zip files, please also provide the PDF files directly. Shift-click on the zip file and download it. unzip it and load up the pdf directly. And no, our pdf files compress a lot. We're not stupid, we wouldn't compress them if they didn't. -Rasmus
