Hi,
I am a PHP beginner and am currently doing an introductory course on
PHP/mySQL. I have noticed some overlap in the course material given by
our tutor and parts of your tutorial at http://www.php.net/tut.php .
I am very particular about adherence to copyright provisions; so
before I raise this issue with my tutor, I would appreciate if you
could clarify the following for me:
a) Have you by any chance been approached recently by any tutor or organiser
from an online education outfit, requesting permission to use some of
your code samples, in slightly reworked form?
b) How far is it acceptable for you, under your copyright, that
third-party individuals or organisations use/rework your material for
training purposes, integrated into their own teaching material?
You see - I'm thinking I'm probably being over-fussy, and maybe you're
quite happy if bits of your sample code are re-used and it's no big
deal ...
I'm just concerned that the right thing is done. I'd be grateful if
you could set me straight on those points!
Regards,
