It is not an error for the manual to be 1400 pages.
If you download the HTML version, it will be approx.
2000 HTML files as I can remember.

What are the actual error messages? What do you
mean with a "stuffit version"? What would you
like to see in it?

The pdf file for the php manual will not unzip without a lot of error messages and comes up as 1400
plus pages to print.
Will you be releasing a stuffit version?
