Hi, I am a young web programmer looking for some advice into the web technologies. Looking at
apache.org, they list a couple of the projects. One of them was PHP. I don't know why, the name
just sounds interesting, I picked it and began reading your tutorial. The thing is this. I would
like to know if PHP is a language already written into web browsers and you can just write something
and it will understand? Does it come as a standard, or is it something the server uses. I noticed
that in the little introdution on the main page of your site, you have that PHP is server based. I
do not really understand this. If you could please answer this I would be very grateful. Another
thing, if this is part of the server and not the client, then does it come standard in all web
servers. I have a Power Mac G3, a MAC guy, and run WebStar Suite Server 4.3. When I put in sample
code in Golive, and tryed accessing it from IE, it didn't work. Could you please enlight me on
this. I would appreaciate it a lot.
Thanks for your time,
Tony
