Of course PHP can do this. You may ask for further details no our technical
mailing lists. For this, the php-general list seems to be appropriate.
You can subscribe to one mailing list at http://www.php.net/support.php

Here are some system requirements. Can PHP do this?
I recently upload some 1600 into http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~tynerweb/tammy.html
in html format that is my definition of a combined 1790/1920 census record for a single family.
I am satisfied with the display but I need to be able to query the data and to create dynamic web
data.
I would like to see the following selection capabilities.
1. Select data by particular column, ie state and year.
2. Select data by character string in a given row, ie "*william*" in any column in any
position in the column.
3. Select other records having the same identifier in a given column.
Specifically, the ability to search for "*william*' in a given row and to display all
other rows that have the same {Family ID: TO241} in my illustration.
