Hi
i dono where to send suggestions on php itself so i took the liberty to send
it to u, please excuse me by advance if its unappropriate.
I have a suggestion that i think would help in migrating to next php
versions using register_globals=0
to tranform new associative arrays like $_get to simple variables one can do
:
foreach($_get as $Key => $Value){
$$Key=$Value;
}
this is quite simple, but if i would like to make it even more simple i'd do
a function called "CreateGetVars"
containing this piece of code and write :
CreateGetVars();
but of course this wouldnt work because generated variables would only live
in and during this function executing time.
now what if we create a new concept of function, lets call it "Alias" for
exemple, executing their code directly in the main process, this would act
just like if i did an include of a file containing some code, this could be
very useful to re-use pieces of code without retyping them making the code
even more light and easy to read. This would also allow to change methods
and coding inside aliases without having to change the main program using
them.
I think this would add even more flexability to php, the current example
isn't the most persuasive due to its simplicity but in my small web
developper career i would have had cases and oportunities to use Alias
functions if it existed.
excuse my english and thanks if u took the time to read this mail ;o)
bye
