Alternatively, we could just define a font and have the site look reasonable, and not messed up. I don't think there is a half way house here. If you prefer, i really don't mind setting up some default themes, or styles. But in the end, it's just a site. One that's a reference manual. I'm trying to tidy it up -a bit- so it would give the appearance of looking clean, and with justification, easier to read (you don't think they print books with justification just because it looks nice?). *shrug*. In the end, i don't care either. it's not what _i_ think, it's what everyone thinks. james > -----Original Message----- > From: Jim Winstead [mailto:jimw@apache.org] > Sent: Tuesday, January 29, 2002 9:05 PM > To: James Cox > Cc: php-mirrors@lists.php.net > Subject: Re: cvs: phpweb / style.css > > > On Tue, Jan 29, 2002 at 08:50:03PM -0000, James Cox wrote: > > I guess, since it seemed to look better, to have the text in a block, as > > opposed to aligned to the left. > > well, i think it looks gross. then again, i also think verdana is only a > marginal step better than comic sans. > > but i seem to be alone in being willing to let users configure their > browsers to show them the text as they want it and not wanting to > micromanage this sort of thing. don't mind me. > > jim >
