Hello,
My name is Rob Lundy. I run a web site dedicated to the open source
community named Simplecodes.com. I have been running Simplecodes for about 1
and a half years. I try to provide current news, rants, and tutorials on
PHP, C++, Server administration and more.
Recently I put Simplecodes under the GNU GPL license and released the source
code to the public. However, this site depends completely on traffic. This
is difficult with me working solo on everything. I decided to put content
first for a little while, in return I hoped to get some content to the
site. With the latest release of the site (1.02.04a -2.10.2002). I have
decided that I need to focus for a while on traffic. I talked to my friend
who runs EvilWalrus.com (listed in your [php.net] links section) and he
suggested I try to get linked by php.net.
Before you decide, let me tell you about the morals of Simplecodes.com:
1) I don't believe in advertisements. Simplecodes is 100% ad free and will
remain ad free. (this does not include links to sites who linked Simplecodes
in return).
2) Simplecodes is hosted on a friend's server. He is an incredible server
admin. Thus he lets nothing slip by. Simplecodes is not a liability in that
department.
3) My code is non-malicious in that I disbelieve in destruction as opposed
to progression.
I seriously hope you feel that Simplecodes is eligible to be listed on the
php.net link section. It will help me out tremendously (as I will be able to
build a staff as well as focus completely on content).
