It seems that characterData() gets characters in chuncks of 1024; therefore if you have string of characters between you tags that is longer than 1024 then characterData() will be called more that once for single pair of tags. I don't know if this feature(bug?) is documented anywhere, I just wanted to warn everyone about this; it had tripped me. I use php 4.3.10 on Linux. ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.xml-set-element-handler.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+59694 Delete: added to the manual -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59694&report=yes&reason=added+to+the+manual Delete: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59694&report=yes&reason=bad+code Delete: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59694&report=yes&reason=spam Delete: useless -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59694&report=yes&reason=useless Delete: non-english -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59694&report=yes&reason=non-english Delete: already in docs -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59694&report=yes&reason=already+in+docs Delete: other reasons -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59694&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+59694&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
