Hey does anyone know if php file running in CLI mode is compiled or interpreted? I mean, when I have a daemon.php with infinite loop inside and I run it like: php daemon.php >> /dev/null & is the file compiled once at the beginning and then runs as an executable or it runs constantly under interpreter control? ( i.e. it is constantly interpreted over and over while loop runs? ) Thank in advance :-) ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/features.commandline.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+60454 Delete: added to the manual -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+60454&report=yes&reason=added+to+the+manual Delete: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+60454&report=yes&reason=bad+code Delete: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+60454&report=yes&reason=spam Delete: useless -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+60454&report=yes&reason=useless Delete: non-english -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+60454&report=yes&reason=non-english Delete: already in docs -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+60454&report=yes&reason=already+in+docs Delete: other reasons -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+60454&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+60454&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
