many fruitless hours were spent trying to install this - with all dependencies. id given up! if you
have fedora core 3 (which comes without gd libraries as standard) and you need to install gd, then
just type this:
yum install php-gd
then y at the prompt. restart apache, and its all over! phew... it even comes with all module
support JPEG, PNG etc.
