If you're using multiple params (with the same name) more than once you might have a problem.
It was working for me on PHP 5.0.4 but it broke my app when I upgraded to 5.1.2
Sample code:
$stmt = $db->prepare("SELECT id, name FROM table WHERE id = :id OR parent = :id");
$stmt->assignValue(':id', 1, PDO::PARAM_INT);
$stmt->execute();
